Superman!

We went to Costco the other day and Ethan was running around in his Superman shirt and cape pretending he was flying. He would occasionally stop, flex and proclaim loudly Supermaaaan! And while running around he would only stop if we said, "Superman freeze." Everyone thought he was so cute. We would be walking down aisles and other shoppers would be saying "Oh look there's Superman" and Ethan would stop and pose. Awe the little things are the best memories.

Inky Dinky Do

We had the pleasure of not having 1 but 2 photo sessions with Stephanie of Inky Dinky Do photography. Here are some of our favorite shots.

a quick update

I recently had the pleasure of taking our little miss Marlee in to see her pediatrician for her one month check up. We are pleased to report that she is perfectly healthy and pleasantly plump. When we brought her home we were instructed to feed her every hour on the hour to help fight off her Jaundice. As a result, Marlee now has quite an appetite and is weighing in at 12 pounds! At first glance you would think she carries the majority of that weight in her cheeks. Of course Ethan was all cheeks and belly when he was an infant too, must run in the family. Ethan is doing well with his new baby sister. He doesn’t pay her much mind except when he sings to her because she is crying. Of course, after singing two verses of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star he’ll tell her, “Be quiet! Ethan’s ears hurt.” He also enjoys telling everyone how Marlee is his baby sister.
Sean is doing well adjusting too. His biggest struggle is combatting the urge to sleep in on the work days. He's also teaching night school right now so his schedule is pretty demanding. We have an out of town wedding this upcoming weekend and are looking forward to it as a mini vacation.
As for me, I'm just trying to get use to this new juggling act! I'm very excited to have started my first Beth Moore Bible study, Women Encountering God. In addition, the Mops group I was a part of last year has begun its new term, however this year it is called Mom To Mom but still revolves around the same principles. These programs help keep me centered and sane, a good thing for everyone.
All in all we are doing quite well. Lots of adjusting and prayers,
but twice as many smiles and blessings!

Marlee is 3 weeks old tomorrow!

Ethan has been a very helpful Big Brother and loves to hold her. She is completely healthy now, no more traces of Jaundice woohoo. Our pediatrician stressed the importance of us feeding her every other hour on the hour to help fight off the Jaundice and now this little girl is 10lbs! My arms will be toned in no time hahaha.

Twins!

Congratulations to Matt and Bri on their 2 beautiful boys, Roman and Remy! We are so happy for you and your growing family. Sending our best wishes and prayers your way. Congratulations again, the boys are Beautiful!!! Can't wait to start planning our visit to see you all soon.

1st Dental Visit

Today Ethan had his 1st dental appointment and he was AweSome! The entire office staff were so friendly and reassuring. They gave Ethan a tour of the office, played some games with him while I filled out the paperwork, and then gave him his 1st dental cleaning. He even got to choose which flavor of toothpaste he would like them to use, he chose Chocolate over Bubblegum. Then they gave him a pair of special glasses to wear so he could watch the flatscreen on the ceiling without the lights from the room disturbing his eyes. At the end of the cleaning we were given a good report, No cavities or plaque build up, way to go buddy! Then it was off to the goody drawer where he was given a toothbrush, yo-yo, stickers, and temporary tattoo (which he had them apply to his foot so he could have a tattoo like mommy). This kid made out like a bandit with all the goodies. I'm so proud of how well behaved he was, he's such a big kid now!
It's definetly a bittersweet moment in the Davis household.
