1st tooth

Marlee cut her 1st tooth on Monday.  It is her front bottom left, you can't see it now because she was trying to eat the camera but it's there I tell ya!

Marlee Jude update

Miss Marlee is 5 months and all over the place!  She's mastered rolling over in every direction imaginable and is on to crawling.  Currently she scoots herself from here to there....but only in reverse.  I am interested to see what will come first, army crawling or just plain crawling altogether!  This girl is persistant too, she is always in the crawling position just trying to figure out what the next move should be.  The youtube link below will take you to a clip of her crawling attempts.

She is also sleeping in her own room - those of you who are parents know what a triumph that is! As for teething, she chomps down on everything. Of course her all time favorite would be the fingers of the unsuspecting person who is holding her. Still not much hair on her head but that just makes her look more like her daddy.

I Won!

Every year the wonderful Inky-Dinky-Do photo studio holds a Scavenger Hunt.  This was my 1st time entering and ta-da, I won!!

"We are happy to announce the Winner of the 2009 Hunt...
Marie Davis!
Marie has won... 5 hours of private photographic teaching by Stephanie complete with lunch! This is the most requested thing at the studio and usually is reserved for Stephanie working with professionals at a couple grand a day- so enjoy! Marie also wins a Complimentary Portrait Session & a Wall Portrait!
How did she win? We liked her dedication- her willingness to even get the dog involved and face it the Lush one is funny. :) She realy worked hard to get our logo in there too! I loved that Marie brought her own unique view point- the something snappy- the only person that didn't go for the photo idea on that one! Way to go Marie!"

Merry Christmas

I can't believe I posted New Year's Eve updates and almost forgot to post our Christmas photos!  My good friend Erika was able to snap some really great shots of us, thanks so much Erika.  Here are some of my family's favorites...

Christmas morning was wonderful too.  We decided to make our Christmas gifts this year for our siblings and parents.  All in all we think they turned out pretty nice.  Ethan was overjoyed with his gift from Santa Claus, a power wheels jeep that actually works!  We made sure to charge it overnight too, so it was ready to roll when he woke up.

Before & After - Ethan's Room

Ethan has just upgraded to a Big Boy Bed!  My little guy is really growing up fast.  When we 1st moved into this house his room was white with one wall being a very dark blue, not much fun for a toddler.  At the time we had this huge playhouse in his room along with all of his toys.  Since then it has been painted, decorated and transformed.  The majority of these pictures shows his room while he had his Pixar Cars toddler bed......Behold Ethan's new and improved big boy room.

Happy New Year!

Holiday Lights at C.A.L.M.

Recently I was able to host an impromtu dinner for my entire family.  I am truly blessed to have a home large enough for everyone to come and hang out and enjoy each others company; and even more blessed to have a husband who didn't mind preparing dinner for everyone!  We started the evening off with a spaghetti dinner topped off with some hot chocolate and video games.  Afterwards we headed out to C.A.L.M. to enjoy the holiday lights, thanks to Uncle Harvey we were all able to get in for Free!  It was a wonderful night we even ran into Santa Claus!

December fun at Disneyland

I was given FREE Disneyland Park Hopper tickets that had to be redeemed within a week!  Lucky for us Grammy Davis was able to take a day off from work and come with us!  The trip was wonderful and Ethan really enjoyed himself.  It was our 1st time seeing Disneyland done up for Christmas, my favorite section was New Orleans Square while  Ethan loved the Tiki Room.

Happy 3rd Birthday Ethan!
We celebrated this memorable occasion with a Monkey themed birthday party at one of our locally owned and operated bounce houses and boy oh boy did he have fun!  I think his favorite part was when all the kids teamed up on Sean and fellow dad Matt.  Even Marlee had a blast.  The party ended with home made goodie bags that came out pretty nice if I may say so.
