a quick update

I recently had the pleasure of taking our little miss Marlee in to see her pediatrician for her one month check up. We are pleased to report that she is perfectly healthy and pleasantly plump. When we brought her home we were instructed to feed her every hour on the hour to help fight off her Jaundice. As a result, Marlee now has quite an appetite and is weighing in at 12 pounds! At first glance you would think she carries the majority of that weight in her cheeks. Of course Ethan was all cheeks and belly when he was an infant too, must run in the family. Ethan is doing well with his new baby sister. He doesn’t pay her much mind except when he sings to her because she is crying. Of course, after singing two verses of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star he’ll tell her, Be quiet! Ethan’s ears hurt.” He also enjoys telling everyone how Marlee is his baby sister.
Sean is doing well adjusting too. His biggest struggle is combatting the urge to sleep in on the work days. He's also teaching night school right now so his schedule is pretty demanding. We have an out of town wedding this upcoming weekend and are looking forward to it as a mini vacation.
As for me, I'm just trying to get use to this new juggling act! I'm very excited to have started my first Beth Moore Bible study, Women Encountering God. In addition, the Mops group I was a part of last year has begun its new term, however this year it is called Mom To Mom but still revolves around the same principles. These programs help keep me centered and sane, a good thing for everyone.
All in all we are doing quite well. Lots of adjusting and prayers,
but twice as many smiles and blessings!
