weekend getaway

This past weekend while Sean was away on a 3 day 2 night work retreat, I took the kids down south to visit cousin Logan and Aunty Dez.  I was a bit aprehensive at first.  Who wouldn't be?  A four hour road trip with an opinionated 3 year old and teething 5 month old is enough to get any sane person admitted to a padded room lol.  However, the entire trip was AmAzing.  On the way down we took a bathroom break at Starbucks where Ethan proceeded to read aloud the map and directions, it was adorable....."This is us, we are here...and Logan cousin Logan's house is right here.  We go this way and by the mountains and then we're here at cousin Logan's house."
While visiting we went bowling and Ethan got a spare all on his own!  The next morning we went to the park where the boys played for a short while until they spotted an open field that had some flooding in one corner.  Once they discovered that water oasis they spent the rest of their time hurling rocks and falling in the mud.  Afterwards we took them out of their muddy clothes and treated them to some Happy Meals.  They loved being naked, thought it was such riot. 
The weekend came to an end too soon.  We were so sad to leave and are looking forward to our next visit!
